Walter Dresel studied general medicine at the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay and pursued postgraduate studies in cardiology at the same institution. He is a homeopath and founder of the Medical Welfare Center and the Center for Leadership and Management of Human Life. He also directs the radio program “Good day, health” and is an active lecturer. His books Have a Coffee with Yourself, The Dark Side of Life, and Between You and Me have sold exceptionally well. He received the Cervantes Prize of Uruguay in 2003 and the Uruguay Quixote Prize in 2003 and 2004.
