Inma Chacón holds a doctorate in information sciences from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and is a professor of data sciences. She has also held the post of dean of the communications and humanities department of the European University. She founded and directed the magazine Binaria: A Magazine of Communication, Culture and Technology. The Indian Princess (Alfaguara) represented her first foray into the realm of fiction writing. The Filipinianas (Alfaguara), which forms part of a trilogy she is working on, is her most recent novel. Currently she is completing a novel for young readers
