JORDI BONELLS*
BARCELONA, 1951
 
He moved to France in 1970 and since 1976, has been a university professor of Hispanic literature. In tandem with his teaching pursuits, he has maintained a career as a novelist in Spain. In 1988, he was a finalist for the Premio Heralde novel prize for his book La Luna (The Moon) and a runner-up for the Premio Planeta award in 2000 for his novel El Olvido (The Forgetting). In 2004, he embarked on a new novelistic career in French. Currently he contributes to different French publications, including Alliage, Le Genre Humain, Libération and Le Monde.
He continues to work as a writer in both Spanish and French.
