JUAN MANUEL BELLVER *
MADRID, 1965
 
Journalist, editor-in-chief of the supplement La Luna de Metrópoli of the newspaper El Mundo. Music critic, cartoon screenwriter, record label executive, author of travel guides, university professor, wine taster, television judge, presenter of conferences, and culinary writer. In 1999, he won the Arzak Prize for Gastronomic Journalism, awarded by the Sent Soví Chair of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and, in 2001, the National Gastronomy Prize. He is a member of the Spanish Academy of Gastronomy and vice-president of the Madrid Academy. Currently he edits the guide Metrópoli: “Eating and Drinking in Madrid” and is preparing The Japanese Cuisine of Ricardo Sanz and the novel Memoirs of a Chef by Chance.
