| Luis Eduardo Aute is a Renaissance man: composer, singer, poet, painter, filmmaker, sculptor. His musical career is one of the most solid and prestigious of his generation; he has written music for cinema, theater, television. He has also published considerable volumes of poetry and several books that defy classification.The title of his latest book, AnimalHada, is a play of words: the sound is equivalent to ‘stupid remark or action,’ but the graphic image is a combination of two words, ‘animal’ and ‘fairy’ as in ‘fairy tales’ (Siruela, 2006). It is a humorous meditation on love, and on existential and political themes. |
